Dalilea Winsome Winnie aka Belladonna
06/03/04 - 04/07/07
Belladonna passed into doggy heaven on the 4 July 2007 leaving behind a devasated human family
John, Tina, Nick and Jossie, her fourlegged companion Bilbo, her two sisters Donna and Poppy and a
whole host of other friends whose lives she touched over her short three years. Bella loved nothing more
than to have her tummy tickled, at any opportunity she would roll over onto her back and hope somebody
was taking note of this action. She was an active member of the Cape Province Dog Club from tiny puppy
to teenager and took part in breed competition obtaining her Championship status in December last year.
Bella was also awarded Best Cape Bitch for 2006, along with trophys for Reserve Best of Breed, Best Opposite
Sex and CC Bitch all for 2006. Her last competition was Oudtshoorn weekend 2007 and on the Saturday she
won Reserve Best of Breed. Unfortunately that was to be her last as we had to rush back to Cape Town on
the Sunday when she took ill.
Bella, our beautiful black faced girl, you will always be in our thoughts, our hearts and in our space. It will be
very difficult to forget you, ever.
Bella will be laid to rest with our old boxer Billy on our new plot in the Estate of Stonehurst where she loved to
walk with us on weekends and chase the guineafowl. We will be erecting a wall of rememberance in the garden
of our new home which will support plaques in memory of our two beloved dogs.
Go well my pretty Belladonna
Lots of love
Mum, Dad, Nick, Jossie and Bilbo.

Zkosumberg Tana – 12/10/98 – 9/7/07
George phoned me tonight, absolutely distraught. His best friend Tana had just passed over that Rainbow Bridge – the one we all dread. Her illness was short, thank goodness, but no less upsetting for that. Tana loved everyone and everything – especially George’s granddaughter. If she met another dog, she was instantly friends with it. She was a wonderful mother to all her puppies, and a wonderful friend to Atilla and Suza.
Some of you may remember that it was Tana, along with Atilla, that saved George’s life a couple of years ago. She barked for four hours to attract attention when George was stuck in a drain with his puppy Suza – she and Atilla never moved away from George and Suza until help arrived. The club gave the two dogs a ‘Roll of Honour’ Certificate to mark this wonderful achievement. At her last show in May this year, Tana won the Best Veteran trophy, making George very proud. Tana possessed all the best attributes of a Bullmastiff’s character, and George will never forget her.

A TRIBUTE TO BLUE (INAMBA)
I first met Blue almost eight years ago when a friend and colleague asked me to go with her to look at a male bull mastiff needing a home. His owners were emigrating. I was immediately struck by his incredibly gentle nature. I was so envious that Karin had found this gentle giant. Two years later Karin phoned and said unfortunately her husband had suffered a stroke and would I consider looking after Blue for a short while. I was thrilled. We decided to introduce Blue to my Fudge (10months) on Hout Bay beach. Fudge was delighted and didn’t touch ground. Blue being the perfect gentleman he was, was appalled at such behaviour. He soon warmed to her and gave in to her daily grooming. Blue came on holiday with us and we soon realized he needed to stay, thankfully Karin agreed.
While on our many trips to our beach house Blue was known for taking himself on lengthy walks down the beach to accompany fisherman on their trips. He also had a knack of disappearing with Fudge for miles over the farmer’s land the morning we needed to go home.
Blue knew all about school lunches and would quietly come and visit me every morning in the kitchen to collect his marmite sandwich.
I can honestly say I never saw Blue muster more than a gentle trot on his walks, every bush had to be inspected at length and any pleas to hurry up fell on deaf ears.
Blue very graciously gave up his favourite basket when Fudge’s ten puppies realized what fun it was to jump in and out of and chew the sides of it. He was rewarded with an extra large, extra soft cushion.
The pups went to their new homes much to Blue’s great relief; he had the family room back!
Blue very kindly allowed Bowzer (8weeks) to share his cushion and the two became remarkable friends and from then on were inseparable.
Very sadly at the age of 13years the pain became too great for Blue and he could no longer walk.
Thank you, for being my loyal companion and friend for so many years. It was a great privilege to have owned you. We all miss you terribly. Goodbye my wonderful lion.

ZKOSUMBERG SILVER DOLLAR - DIESEL
13.11.03 – 9.11.05
Diesel really was the most wonderful dog we have ever had. Everybody who
knew him or had some form of contact with him just loved him to
bits. We were truly blessed to have had him; he really was part
of our everyday routine and lives. We take comfort in the knowledge
that he was a happy dog, he was loved and pampered. He gave us so much love
and happiness, just an incredible character. He really imposed on our lives
in such a wonderful way that we will remember him and have fond
memories of him forever. Thank you to you guys (George, Ziggy and you) for giving
us the opportunity to own such a wonderful dog; he really became
and was a member of our family which is why it is so hard now that he is
gone. He truly was a compliment to the Bullmastiff breed and you can
be sure our home will always have a Bullmastiff.

Noshkazan Waterlou (Kazan)
Two days before her 7th birthday, my beautiful and loving girl
gave up the battle with cancer. She was a wonderful Bullmastiff
who was truly the Queen of our castle. She was the doyenne of the
pack. She kept everyone in their place when they tried to get out
of line. It was an honour to have had been owned by her.
Soon you, Camden and Flappies will be laid to rest under your favourite
place under the Johannesburg Golds where you used to sit and stare
through the fence at the dogs next door.
We miss you and will never forget the influence you had on our
lives, and the love and devotion that you gave.
Love
Ria and Chips

Ch. Gamekeeper Blazing Bolo
Unfortunately Bolo's passing came to us very suddenly on 20 Aug
2005 .Born on 28 Feb 1997 and named after the great actor / martial
artist , Bolo Yeung , he was destined for the Gamekeeper household
where he joined two four-legged girls - he loved it!!! Being a real
gentleman and always wanting to please the girls was his trademark.
His presence is sorely missed and his great attributes live on in
his progeny.

Eaglehill Charmer
Eaglehill Charmer (Suzie) was “Auntie” to many youngsters,
and raised them to perfection. A stern look was all it took for
all our dogs to fall into line. She had a quiet dignity about her
and was ever patient with her latest charge, James, who just adored
her. She left us with the same dignity with which she lived her
life.
We are all missing you so much Suzie.
